North Wales' first gin, distilled in Conwy using foraged ingredients and others chosen to represent the land and landscape the gin is from. The aim is to show off what makes Wales home to me and the gin, from the specific region to the language and musical culture - which are all shown in the bottle design.
The business was established in 2015 and Merywen Gin can now be found in many bars and independent stores across Wales as well as beyond. I attend regular markets locally as well as others further afield, in an effort to spread the word about North Wales to those who perhaps haven't been here.
