Originally founded in 1988 as a delicatessen by Deiniol ap Dafydd and Chandra Dafydd, today Blas ar Fwyd (Welsh for ‘appetite’) encompasses artisan production of over 60 hand-made foods, a first-rate wine merchants, a café (Amser Da), a high quality outside catering business and, importantly, the distribution hub for the quality foods and drinks from Wales’ best producers. Our Welsh wine shop receives fine wines from specialised vineyards throughout the world, while Amser Da, our Café Bar, is the ideal place to relax and sample great coffee, home produced savoury foods and delightful desserts made in house. Lastly, we also offer bespoke catering services, having catering for events from weddings to film sets.
